Integrative Mind-Body Therapy

Holistic Psychotherapy & Mindfulness-Based Healing

At the heart of my psychotherapy practice is a holistic approach, one that honors the deep connection between mind, body and spirit. I work with the whole person, not just symptoms or diagnoses.

My work is rooted in compassion, presence and evidence-based practices. I integrate well-researched therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with the grounding power of mindfulness and somatic awareness.

This blended approach supports not just symptom relief, but deep healing and lasting change.

What Is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present, without judgment. It invites you to slow down, notice your inner experience, and meet yourself with curiosity and compassion.

When used in therapy, mindfulness helps:

  • Reduce anxiety, overwhelm and emotional reactivity

  • Increase self-awareness and emotional resilience

  • Interrupt cycles of negative thinking or avoidance

  • Build a deeper connection to your body and emotions

  • Create space for more clarity, calm, and choice

How I Use Mindfulness in Therapy

Mindfulness is more than a technique. It’s a way of relating to yourself with more kindness and awareness.

In our sessions, we may:

  • Use grounding and breathing techniques to calm the nervous system

  • Explore body-based awareness to connect with unspoken emotions

  • Practice non-judgmental observation of thoughts and feelings

  • Identify mindful tools you can use between sessions to stay connected and centered

You don’t need to have experience with mindfulness or meditation. We’ll move at your pace and explore what resonates for you.

What Is Meditation?

Meditation is one form of mindfulness. It typically involves focusing your attention (on your breath, a word, or a sensation) in a quiet and intentional way. Meditation isn’t about “stopping your thoughts.” It’s about learning how to notice them without being pulled under.

How It All Comes Together

By weaving together evidence-based methods like EMDR, CBT and DBT with mindfulness, meditation and a holistic lens, we’re able to support healing on multiple levels: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.

This approach allows us to work with trauma, anxiety, or life transitions in a way that feels grounded, personalized, and transformative.
